Our Leadership Team
Brenten Wellington
Brenten is driven by a belief that every young person deserves guidance, challenge, and a strong sense of purpose as they transition into adulthood.
Founder & CEO-
Growing up in Broome, Western Australia, Brenten Wellington developed a deep appreciation for community, connection, and the outdoors. These early experiences shaped his belief that young people thrive when they are challenged, supported, and surrounded by positive role models.
After completing a degree in Environmental Engineering, Brenten embarked on a personal journey that challenged his understanding of success, purpose, and leadership. Through years of self-development, mentoring, and community engagement, he recognised a growing need for meaningful programs that support young men during one of the most important transitions of their lives.
Driven by this vision, Brenten founded Transformative Growth Institute (TGI), a registered Australian charity dedicated to empowering young people through leadership development, personal growth, and community connection.
As Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Brenten developed TGI's flagship program, The Blokehood Project - a transformative rite-of-passage and leadership experience designed to help teenage boys build resilience, emotional intelligence, self-respect, and a stronger sense of purpose.
Today, Brenten works alongside TGI's leadership team, facilitators, mentors, and community partners to create life-changing experiences for young people across regional Western Australia. Through workshops, camps, mentoring programs, and community initiatives, he continues to champion the belief that every young person deserves the opportunity to discover their strengths, develop character, and become a positive contributor to their community.
His guiding philosophy remains simple:
"Boys will be boys, until men lead them to become men."
